Jane creates collage and acrylic paintings using hand-printed Japanese mulberry paper, prepared using acrylic paint monoprinting techniques. Collages are then developed with acrylic paint into complex cityscapes, landscapes and florals. Jane’s inspiration comes from sketching outside, finding particular joy in the industrial heritage of Northern and Midland towns, and in the wilder landscapes of the Peaks and Lakes. Jane also paints in oils and pastel. At the Open Studios, she will be showing some of her collage work inspired by Leek landmarks, and from further afield.
