Holly gained her BA Hons Bookbinding and Calligraphy from Roehampton Institute, London. She has enjoyed pursuing her trade at Scrivener’s Books & Bookbinding in Buxton for over 20 years.
Using traditional tools, processes and materials, she binds fancy and functional books. She loves the idea that a blank book can be the beginning of a unique story with a lifespan longer than its binder or author. Holly feels an equally warm glow in giving tatty and old but treasured books new life through repairing or rebinding. Running bookbinding workshops allows Holly to pass on her knowledge to other like minded folk.
